BIG Updates Result in Lower Fees and Higher Tax Deductions

It’s a tale as old as time – the days go by slow, but the years go by fast. As Treasurer Smith thinks about wrapping up his first year as Iowa’s State Treasurer, he can attest to its truth. This year has been full of moments the Treasurer won’t forget – reuniting an Iowan with $4.5 million, providing eight families (with two more coming up) a boost to their education savings through College Savings Iowa giveaways, announcing IAble reached $20 million in assets, meeting many of you at the Iowa State Fair… the list continues.
He cannot wait to see what we accomplish in 2024, and he is thankful to have you along this journey.
Record-Breaking Excitement!

It’s been an incredible summer at the State Treasurer's Office! With the largest ever Great Iowa Treasure Hunt return, in addition to discovering a Michael Jordan rookie card in our safekeeping, we haven’t been low on excitement around here! But we have so much more to celebrate: College Savings Month is here with a chance to win a $5,290 contribution, and National Disability Employment Awareness Month is just around the corner. Enjoy!
