Our programs

Welcome

The State Treasurer serves Iowans in many ways.

As the State’s banker, the Treasurer deposits and invests State funds, while also ensuring they are available when needed. He invests Iowa’s pooled money, coordinates bonding and returns unclaimed property through the Great Iowa Treasure Hunt. Additionally, the Treasurer helps individuals achieve a better life experience with the State’s ABLE program and helps families save for future education expenses through the State’s two 529 education savings programs, College Savings Iowa and the IAdvisor 529 Plan.
