Treasurer Smith is committed to providing excellent services to Iowa citizens and all consumers. Explore the services provided by the State Treasurer's Office:

ABLE Savings Plan: IAble, Iowa’s Achieving a Better Life Experience (ABLE) plan, helps individuals with disabilities save for Qualified Disability Expenses while protecting their eligibility for Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Medicaid and more.

529 Savings Plan: College Savings Iowa and the IAdvisor 529 Plan help families save for the growing costs of education on a tax-advantaged basis.

Financial Education and Empowerment: The Treasurer provides resources to help Iowans of all ages build and maintain a sound financial background.

Great Iowa Treasure Hunt: One in 10 Americans have unclaimed money waiting for them. Check the Great Iowa Treasure Hunt to see if Iowa is holding any unclaimed money for you.

LIFT: The LIFT program works with financial institutions to help small businesses in Iowa get started or grow.

Pension Investments: Two of Iowa’s investment funds, the Judicial Retirement System and the Peace Officers’ Retirement, Accident and Disability System, are administered by the State Treasurer’s Office.

Robert D. Blue Scholarship: Students graduating or that have graduated from a high school in Iowa, who plan to pursue higher education in the state, are encouraged to apply for this scholarship. The scholarship opens in the winter and has a deadline of May 10.

State Investments: The Treasurer is committed to managing the State’s funds with the objectives of safety, liquidity and yield.
